I Tested a Robotic Lawn Mower... Is It Worth It?
Просмотров 41821 день назад
I tested out a robotic lawn mower from Anthbot who was nice enough to send me one! I wanted to show the process or setting up a robotic lawn mower as well as how it's worked for me so far. I still am getting used to it but still have a lot more to learn with it! If you are interested in purchasing one, I have a link down below, and keep an eye out for a coupon :) Links🔽 www.amazon.com/dp/B0CXJF...

Is that just normal indoor houseplant soil? If so, that plant will rot quicker than you can blink. I checked the roots of mine like a week after I had gotten it (I didn’t even water it in that week cuz the soil was still not fully dried out) and it was already starting to rot
Well done! Great to lay sand under the gravel too! Inspiring!
Is there any tool pr machine I can rent from home depot etc to remove grass quicker? Or with less labour's?
A Rototiller will break it up for easier removal.
Blonde Ambition Grama Grass is the coolest ornamental grass! So glad you added that!
I'm stunned you planted daylilies but tbh they compliment the other plants around them well! I think you will really like the b-hyve timer. I upgraded to one last year when my old timer died, and it saved me during the drought. Only small gripe is that mine connects to phone via Bluetooth and not Wi-Fi to my router, so I can't control it when I'm not home.
Work can get done faster if there's 2 person works together... ❤❤. My garden bed I do it 96% my husband only helps if I ask. But I love doing it.. new subscriber's here.. can't wait to see what's coming to your garden.. awesome job 👏 ❤.
So, cool, I was just wondering what area you were from. I was born in Kingston, RI. No memories though, just a babe when my father was stationed there in the Marines/Navy. Pretty much grew up in Texas though, I love your gardening videos, but many of your plants won't make it here in our zone. Your soil looks so soft too.
Does grass or weeds ever grow back?
They definitely still will, but it won’t be as bad. The grass really won’t come back but weeds can
Thanks for the pictures, names and zones. Elijah Blue Fescue was my favorite in size and color. Maybe a split screen with the pictures of the plants larger? I will look up Elijah blue fescue to find out maintenance as that looks like a keeper. Cheers and best wishes.
Love butterfly bushes...never knew there were miniature varieties, nice. Love the color options.
Josh do you do work or help people out at their houses. I live in Woonsocket and could use help. I have a small garden and looking for perennials and my side yard needs help.
Unfortunately I do not have enough time in my schedule to do any outside work, but I appreciate you asking!
Gorgeous!
How do you use them? I have two but I don't want to fill them up with a ton of dirt for plants that don't need so much.
Sometimes you can get pots that have an insert that leaves room for air so the pots aren’t filled as much. I wouldn’t recommend putting anything like rocks or gravel in the pots though
Cool! It's the pots with drainage holes that are a challenge.
Looks nice good work yet trying to do the same on my land and got 3300 sq feet to do. Equally important concrete sand as base no fabric after you cut the grass and soil dirt it. I see thanks for showing me need to gravel my land .....
I wish my back could do all this!! Wonderful!!
Do more
They eat mines around 4 am smh
The island bed with purple smoke bush, lambs ear, and dwarf blue spruce looks great! I also like the ruby falls weeping redbud!
I want to see that corner now.
Great video. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve never seen that pine before. It’s adorable
Can’t stand the name aureola for a plant. Who does that? Who approved that? 😂😂😂
I know!!
Nice cheap and practical drainage solution that also looks great! The grass fits in nicely under the window and Hopefully will fill in. The hakonechloa I planted last year unfortunately is not doing very well this year.
I love this, it's stems and needles look like a work of art. Your drainage mod is so clean and nice.
Everything looks so beautiful 💖💖💖
Joshua! I just noticed you don't have any Crepe Myrtles. They are huge and colorful. Quite a few do well in Zone 6. You can let it spread into a bush, but they're so much better as a big-bold tree shape.
You could do two gardenias on either size of that staircase down into your garden. That way, you get a burst of perfume when you're heading down into the yard. Or maybe something like Jasmine. Something super fragrant in that hottub/deck area - whatever the most sweet smelling thing in your zone.
Maybe some lavender in that bed with the two blue pines you put in. Or maybe false indigo. Something with spikey flowers or shootups. Allium or irises would work, too.
Those monarda went to Harvard, never seen them grow so tall. And whoa, those hydrangeas are amazing! You could add some hostas in a star pattern around the base of the tree (or towards the front of the bed.) You could also do some loriope ornatmental grass and sedum in the spaces between the hygrangeas.
That's so cool! Can it cut several zones? (Like the front yard, and a strip in front of the sidewalk?) And has it gotten stuck in any bumpy ground, or particularly thick grass pile?
Overall, more azaleas, more alliums, more salvia (color spires has so many colors that pop), more hostas, and maybe an Anna's Magic Ball or two.
At 7:40, rip out those two bushes and put in two encore azaleas. Maybe a white, and pink. Or maybe red and white. They love being near houses and will give you great greenery all year, and plenty of color spring into fall. Deer and rabbits dont mess with them.
I think you should take a trip to New Hampshire Hosta farm. They are one of the best stores in the world, online, for hostas of various sizes and colors. You have room in your yard to get some of their GIANT and Large hostas and really let them take off. They even have some that are deer and rabbit resistant. Look at the online store... but you're so close in RI it would be a shame not to visit the farm. They have like 2-300 cultivars.
I did not know about this!! I’ll have to check it out!
The best youtube gardener is BACK! Yay!
I've used the 'no dig' method since 1981. I put cardboard over grass and weeds. No need to dig up anything. It's important to keep the rich top 2 to 3 cms of soil. The more nitrogen the better. You did a great job. Congratulations.
OMG Joshua, I miss your face lol. I haven’t seen any of your videos lately! Glad too see you again 💖 Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Damn that was a lot of work!…you want to do my yard next???
Great video...thanks!
The trunk looks nice too
I love filling my holes
Pink is best 💖💖💖💖💖
I think you are suppose to only take about 1/3 of the branches off, not take it back to a third. At least thats what I have done for 30 years
Those blooms are so pretty!
Putting the cardboard right on top of the grass was lazy work. It’s going to backfire on them. Many parts of the yard don’t have actual plants and only wood chips and no cardboard That is going to be a tremendous amount of unnecessary work for weeding. The grass is not in the best condition and it’s not very green The woodchip colour could’ve been because it doesn’t contrast with the cheap looking grass.
You have inspired me to work on my backyard I’ve been buying plants and small trees. I’ll be making my first flower bed this weekend. 😅😀👍🏽👍🏽
You can drill out the holes on the attachment just the smallest of hairs bigger and the spray won't be nearly as high. Start with the smallest diameter drill bit that would increase the hole size the least, then test. If the spay is still too high and spilling out over your basin again drill the holes just a hair bigger until you get the height you want with no overspray. Be careful and increase the hole size in the smallest amount possible. If you drill out the holes to large, you'll lose all of your height.
Those are a beautiful variety! I snagged a few bigleaf hydrangeas and a pugster blue buddleia for half off. I haven't had great luck with either honestly, but I figured for the price it's worth another try.
Awesome score! I've gotten four PW pink profusion salvia plants 50%off from Lowe's this year.
They look too close to the fence.
